Hunting Game ("the app", "we") is a location-based real-world game for iOS and Apple Watch. This page explains exactly what the app collects, why, and how long it keeps it. There is no advertising SDK, no third-party analytics, and no data broker in this app — everything described below exists to run the game you're actually playing.

What we collect

What we don't do

How data is shared

Your live position during a match is visible only to other participants of that same match, exactly as the game requires (a hunter sees a runner's bearing, not their exact coordinates, unless proximity rules say otherwise). Match hosts and designated spectators can see the full roster of their own match. Nothing is shared outside the match itself, other than what you choose to share with Apple's Game Center (below), and nothing is shared with any other third party.

Game Center (optional)

From version 1.0.2 the app can connect to Apple's Game Center. It only does so if you are already signed in to Game Center on your device, and you can switch it off at any time with Share my scores and achievements on the Profile tab. When it is on, the app sends Game Center your career totals (matches won, runners caught, matches played and minutes played) and your achievement progress. They appear on Game Center's leaderboards and profile under your Game Center name, which Apple controls, and are governed by Apple's privacy policy. We do not receive your Game Center identity, friends or any other Game Center data, and the app does not send Game Center anything from an Apple Account marked as a child's.

Data retention & deletion

Match history and its associated location trail are kept so you can review past matches, and can be cleared at any time from Profile → Match History → Clear History. Deleting your account removes your profile, friendships, and pending invites. Scores and achievements you already shared with Game Center are held by Apple, not by us, and are not removed by deleting your Hunting Game account; you can manage them in Game Center itself. Location logs tied to a finished match may be retained in de-identified form for a limited period for anti-cheat and abuse investigation before being purged.

Security

All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit (TLS). Passwords are stored as salted hashes, never in plain text — we cannot see your password.

Children's privacy

Hunting Game is for players aged 13 and over. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 13, we delete that account and its data. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has an account, email [email protected] and we will remove it.

Players under 18 should have the permission of a parent or guardian. Your live position is shared only with the other players in a match you have chosen to join, and only after you agree to it for that match.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, or request deletion of your account and associated data, by contacting us at [email protected].

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that affects how your data is handled, we'll update the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify active users in-app.
